Ant Man & more appear in Captain America : Civil War!

The cast for Joe & Anthony Russo’s “Captain America : Civil War” just got a whole lot bigger.

The film, which already has Robert Downey Jr’s Iron Man playing a pivotal role alongside headline act Captain America (Chris Evans), has a stouter cast than the recent “Avengers” sequel. It was announced today that several other big Marvel superheroes will appear in the film, including Paul Rudd’s Ant Man, Paul Bettany’s The Vision (from “Avengers : Age of Ultron”), and Jeremy Renner’s Hawkeye. Also newly aboard, William Hurt, who reprises his role as General ‘Thunderbolt’ Ross from 2008’s “The Incredible Hulk”.

But that’s not all! The new ‘Avengers’ line-up – including Don Cheadle as War Machine, Anthony Mackie as The Falcon, Jeremy Renner as Hawkeye, Elizabeth Olsen as the Scarlet Witch and Scarlett Johansson as Black Widow- will appear towards the end of the movie.

Oh, you want more? Well, how about an appearance by Chadwick Boseman’s Black Panther!? And how about our first glimpse at the new, younger Spider-Man/Peter Parker!?

Emily Van Camp (“Revenge”), Frank Grillo and Sebastian Stan will appear in the film too, reprising their “Winter Soldier” roles of Agent 13, Crossbones, and The Winter Soldier respectively.

“Captain America: Civil War” picks up where “Avengers: Age of Ultron” left off, as Steve Rogers leads the new team of Avengers in their continued efforts to safeguard humanity. After another international incident involving the Avengers results in collateral damage, political pressure mounts to install a system of accountability and a governing body to determine when to enlist the services of the team. The new status quo fractures the Avengers while they try to protect the world from a new and nefarious villain.
