Aronofsky dropped Wolverine to work with Batman!?

‘Wow! Holy Crap Trick Title Batman!’

Though it’s likely still a few beers off, a new science-fiction film starring George ‘Batman’ Clooney may have engaged the interest of the currently unemployed – but nowhere near broke – Darren Aronofsky.

According to online mutterings, Aronofsky, who recently quit Fox’s “Wolverine” sequel (sensible? is my life in danger if I say that?), is considering turning Jeff Welch’s 15-year-old science fiction script “Human Nature” into a flick. With Clooney.

And adding to the the search engine find for the word ‘Batman’ again, “Batman & Robin” writer Akiva Goldsman is onboard to produce.

Here’s what Vulture says of the project :

We hear that George Clooney is attaching himself to star as a man who is cryogenically frozen and wakes up years later to a world in which humans have become pets of another species. Insiders tell us that Warner Bros.–based producer Akiva Goldsman (I Am Legend) is currently budgeting the movie, but if things go to plan, this would likely be Aronofsky’s next project.

And hey, another “Batman” link… Aronofsky himself was once attached to direct a “Batman” movie pre-“Batman Begins”. True story.

None of these “Batman” things helped my story did they? No…
