Batman partners with Ghost Rider

Val Kilmer and Xzibit (man, this guy’s going great guns at the moment!) have joined the cast of “Bad Lieutenant”, Werner Herzog’s reimaginging of Abel Ferrara’s controversial 1992 flick. Nicolas Cage dons the trousers previously worn by Harvey Keitel.

Cage plays a cop on the edge, and Kilmer will play his partner. “X-Files : Truth is Out There” star Xzibit is playing a nemesis named Big Fade.

Variety says Edward R. Pressman is producing with Alan and Gabe Polsky, Stephen Belafonte, Emmett/Furla’s Randall Emmett and Cage’s Saturn Films.
