Becky G is the Yellow Power Ranger

Becky Gomez, more commonly known as Becky G, is the latest Ranger to be added to the cast of Lionsgate’s “Power Rangers” film.

Gomez will play the Yellow Ranger opposite RJ Cyler as the Blue Ranger, Naomi Scott as the Pink Ranger, Dacre Montgomery as the Red Ranger and Ludi Lin as the Black Ranger.

Dean Israelite is directing the film from a script by Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz. Producers are Haim Saban, Brian Casentini and Allison Shearmur.

The project will reimagine the origins of the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, a group of high school kids given extraterrestrial powers who unite to save the world.

“Power Rangers” will open on January 13, 2017.
