NBC and Sony Pictures Television are planning a female-led “The Blacklist” spinoff, set to star Famke Janssen.
The May 12 episode of “The Blacklist” will serve as a backdoor pilot, with Janssen to play a character named Susan “Scottie” Halsted, who was “conceived as Ryan Eggold’s on-screen mother”, reports Variety.
The character will make her debut in the May 5 episode.
Should the series get the green light, Edi Gathegi will also star as a regular. He would reprise his current “Blacklist” role of Mr. Solomon.
