Boll ropes in biggies for Dungeon Siege

Rising action hero Jason Statham ["The Transporter 2"] and Helen Hunt’s hush-hush sprog Leelee Sobieski are set to headline "Dungeon Siege", the next effort from filmmaker Uwe Boll, says The Hollywood Reporter.

The movie, which begins filming Sunday in Vancouver, British Columbia, will see Statham playing the film’s hero, Farmer, and Sobieski, as Muriella, daughter of the court sorcerer Merrick, who will be played by John Rhys Davies.

Boll’s snagged a bit of a slick supporting cast too : Ron Perlman, Matthew Lillard, Burt Reynolds, and Kristanna Loken, who recently fronted the director’s "BloodRayne".

The $60 million adaptation of the sword-and-sorcery video game will shoot until September.
