Bond director eyes James and the Giant Peach?

Sam Mendes is in early talks to develop and direct Disney’s live-action “James And The Giant Peach” adaptation, reports Deadline.

Nick Hornby is on board to write the screenplay.

Based on the Roald Dahl book, “James And The Giant Peach” follows an orphan who lives with his two mean aunts. He befriends human-like bugs who live inside a giant peach and together they trek to New York City.
