A feature film based on the 2009-2011 small-screen comedy “Bored to Death” is in the works.
Jason Schwartzman will reprise his role of Brooklyn-based writer and amateur private detective Jonathan Ames, the character loosely based on writer Ames himself. Zach Galifiankis and Ted Danson would also reprise their roles from the HBO series.
The project, written and executive produced by Ames, will see “Jonathan, Ray, and George reunite to fight crime, commit crime, lose their minds and fail at love”, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Earlier reports suggest Schwartzman’s character may have transitioned from P.I to Cop in the film, with Ray and George becoming unlikely roommates.
