Sela Ward (“Once & Again”) will play the President of the United States in director Roland Emmerich’s “Independence Day 2”.
According to Deadline, President Langford’s caught up in a story that involves the nations of Earth collaborating on using recovered alien technology to develop a defense program to protect the planet from invading aliens.
Bill Pullman, who played the president in the 1996 film, is back for the new film too.
“Independence Day 2” reunites Ward with her “Day After Tomorrow” director Emmerich.
