Casting: Johansson, Common, Billionaire Boys Club, Wu, Kite

Scarlett Johansson is in final negotiations to star in raunchy comedy “Move That Body” for Sony.

Lucia Aniello and Paul W. Downs penned the script. Aniello will also direct and Downs will co-star.

Common will join Kate Mara and Edie Falco in director Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s “Leavey”.

The film is “about Megan Leavey and her military combat dog Rex who saved lives searching for roadside bombs during two tours in Iraq from 2004 to 2006” (via Deadline).

Common will play Sgt. Gunney Massey, the Gunnery Sergeant in charge of the kennels at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton.

 

 

Bokeem Woodbine, Billie Lourd and Jeremy Irvine have joined the cast of director James Cox’s “Billionaire Boys Club”.

According to Variety, “Irvine will play Kyle Biltmore, one of the members of the Billionaire Boys Club, and Lourd is Rosanna, his love interest. Woodbine will play a club bouncer who becomes wrapped up in the club.”

Ansel Elgort, Taron Egerton, Kevin Spacey, Emma Roberts, Suki Waterhouse, Thomas Cocquerel and Judd Nelson star in the film about financial genius Joe Hunt and tennis pro Dean Karny’s early 1980’s Ponzi scheme called the Billionaire Boys Club. When Levin’s investment turned out to be worthless, the scheme collapsed and, in 1987, Hunt was convicted of Levin’s murder.

 

 

Constance Wu and Jonathan Kite have been signed to star in Christmas horror-comedy “All the Creatures Were Stirring”.

Production is underway in LA with Amanda Fuller, Brea Grant, Graham Skipper and Stephanie Drake also in the cast.

Rebekah McKendry and David Ian McKendry are making their directorial debut from their own script.
