Hank Azaria has joined the cast of HBO’s Bernie Madoff movie “Wizard of Lies”.

Azaria will play Frank Dipascali, “Bernie’s right-hand man in the Ponzi scheme. Dipascali referred to himself as the “director of options trading” and “chief financial officer” for Madoff Investment Securities LLC and worked on the secretive 17th floor, where much of the fraud was carried out. He pled guilty but died in May 2015 before his sentencing” (via Variety).

 

Michael Stahl-David will play Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy in Rob Reiner’s “LBJ”.

Woody Harrelson, Bill Pullman, Richard Jenkins and Kim Allen co-star in the film about “the political upheaval that Vice President Johnson faced when he was thrust into the presidency after the assassination of President John F. Kennedy in November 1963” (via Deadline).

 

Tovah Feldshuh, Alexandra Breckenridge and Austin Nichols have been upgraded from recurring characters to regulars on the upcoming season of “The Walking Dead.”

The sixth season of the hit show will premiere on AMC on October 11 (see the newly release banner below).

According to TVLine, Meghan Ory will return as Ruby for “Once Upon a Time” season 5.

Ory will appear on multiple episodes when “Once Upon A Time” returns to TV on September 27 on ABC.

 

Frank Whaley will play the recurring role of hard-nosed detective Detective Scarfe in the upcoming Netflix Marvel series “Luke Cage” (via Deadline).

The show centres on the titular character Luke Cage, a wrongly accused man who escapes prison to become a superhero for hire when a sabotaged experiment gives him super strength.

 

Musician Josh Groban will guest-star as himself in an early episode of ABC’s “The Muppets” (via EW).

Groban will play a famous new love interest for Miss Piggy, following her split from Kermit.

 

“Damien” actor Bradley James will play the male villain in “Underworld 5” (via Deadline).

Kate Beckinsale and Theo James also star. Production will kick off next month in Prague.

 

Dennis Haysbert has joined the cast of the BBC and BBC America’s six-part limited series “Undercover”.

The show tells parallel stories that unfold in the U.S. and U.K. in different time periods. Haysbert plays a man who has been wrongly sentenced to death and has been in prison for 20 years in the US.

James Dawes and Jim O’Hanlon direct from a script penned by penned by Peter Moffat.

 

Emily Rios will co-star with Ryan Phillippe in the USA Network’s pilot “Shooter”.

The pilot os based on Stephen Hunter’s novel “Point of Impact” and the 2007 Paramount film starring Mark Wahlberg.
