CBS picks up new Gordon, Williams pilots

CBS has ordered two pilots this week. One, a drama from the creators of ‘Homeland’, the other, a comedy from the mind of David E. Kelley (‘Ally McBeal’, ‘The Practice’).

From ‘Homeland’ co-creators Howard Gordon and Alex Gansa comes ‘Anatomy of Violence’, which is based on Adrian Raine’s non-fiction title ‘The Anatomy of Violence: The Biological Roots of Crime’. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “The hourlong entry will center on a criminal psychologist with an expertise in sociopaths partners with a young female detective with whom he shares a conflicted past.”

David E. Kelly brings us ‘Crazy Ones’, starring comedy genius Robin Williams (‘Good Will Hunting’). The comedy will revolve around a father-daughter relationship at home and at work, in the world of Advertising.

‘Crazy Ones’ sees Williams returning to a recurring role on television, 30 years after appearing in ‘Mork & Mindy’ for four seasons.
