Charlotte's Web spinning in Williamstown

The "Blue Heelers" crowd are likely to be cringing at the news that a big-time Hollywood production is about to crash their locale.

"Charlotte’s Web" is coming to the nest in the Victorian seaside town of Williamstown, just outside Melbourne, where "Heelers" does a lot of its exterior shots.

"A major international production of Charlotte’s Web, is going to be the important remake, the definitive remake," Premier Steve Bracks told reporters in Melbourne today.

The Gary Winick directed pic plans to transform the place into something 1940’s. According to The Herald Sun, Williamstown’s Nelson Place will be given a 1940s makeover, with a record store becoming a barber shop for the shoot.

A nearby school will also be used. Construction of farm buildings is already well under way on a property in Greendale, with 24-hour security to discourage onlookers.

Interior scenes will be shot in a converted warehouse in the western suburbs.

Some of "Charlotte’s Web", which’ll star Dakota Fanning, will also be shot in Greendale.
