“Vacation” stars Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo will reunite for a new sitcom, The Hollywood Reporter has learned.
The ABC Studios sitcom will see the duo again playing a married couple whose golden years are interrupted after circumstances beyond their control are now forced to raise their grandchildren.
The ABC network has handed out a script commitment with a penalty attached to the family comedy. Brad Copeland will write and executive produce the sitcom.
TV isn’t new territory for Chase or D’Angelo; he was an original castmember of “Community”, while she recurred on “Friends with Better Lives” and “Entourage”.
Chase and D’Angelo next reunite for the “Vacation” reboot, in which they’ll cameo as Clark and Ellen Griswold.
