Colin Firth eyes Mary Poppins Returns

Colin Firth is in negotiations to join Emily Blunt, Lin-Manuel Miranda and Meryl Streep in Disney’s “Mary Poppins Returns”.

According to Variety, Firth will play William Weatherall Wilkins, president of Fidelity Fiduciary Bank.

Set 25 years after the original, “Mary Poppins Returns” will also star Ben Whishaw and Emily Mortimer as Michael and Jane Banks, who are now all grown up and receive a visit from their magical childhood nanny.

Directed by Rob Marshall, the film is set to bow on December 25, 2018.
