Criminal, Mechanic 2 dated

… not as in, they went steady for a while, but they’ve snared release slots from outputer Summit.

The former is Kevin Costner’s latest, an Ariel Vromen film that sounds like a mish-mash of “Face/Off” and… well, Luc Besson’s back catalog.

The second is a sequel to “The Mechanic”, with Jason Statham reprising his role as the unwaxed male protagonist. He’s surrounded by a mighty good cast, too – including Tommy Lee Jones and Jessica Alba. Avi Lerner has money though.

I’m not pumped for either of these but then that’s probably only the crutches doing the talking; too far and hard to walk up a cinema foyer staircase.

CRIMINAL will open on August, 2015 in wide release, from Summit Entertainment.
