Warner Bros. TV and Plan B are teaming up with writer Jason Richman to develop Martin Scorsese’s feature “The Departed” as a series for Amazon.
Set to put a new spin on the 2006 film, the series will follow a young cop who infiltrates a Latino gang in Chicago, which simultaneously plants its own man in the police department.
Richman will write the pilot and will exec produce with Roy Lee, Michael Connolly, Graham King, Dede Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, Sarah Esberg, Tripp Vinson, Doug Davison and Gianni Nunneri. Vertigo Entertainment, Initial Entertainment Group and Plan B Entertainment are also producing.
