“The Man Who Knew Infinity” is finally set to go into production after eight years of development.
Shooting will kick off in the UK on August 3 at Trinity College, Cambridge. Production will then move to South India for two weeks.
Dev Patel will star opposite Jeremy Irons and newbie Devika Bhise.
Patel plays a math genius from India who is plucked from obscurity by Irons’ character. Bhise will play Patel’s character’s wife.
Mathew Brown is directing the project which is based on Robert Kanigel’s biography “The Man Who Knew Infinity: A Life of the Genius Ramanujan”.
Jim Young of Pressman and Animus will produce with Sofia Sondervan of Dutch Tilt Film, Pressman’s chief operating officer Jon Katz and Xeitgeist’s Joe Thomas.
