Caffeinated Clint
With no word on the Weinstein’s decision committee on “Halloween 3D” reconvening anytime soon (the film was removed from the studio’s schedule this week), there’s a slot to fill on Bob & Harvey’s release roster. As such, Dimension have announced a remake of the Korean hit “The Man from Nowhere”. Shawn Christensen, who wrote “Abduction” (Wait… that had a writer!?), has been tapped to pen the screenplay for the flick, which will likely encompass the same impressive array of martial-arts sequences the original film did.
“We have always been huge action and martial arts fans and are getting back into the genre in a big way with THE MAN FROM NOWHERE,” said Bob Weinstein, co-chairman of The Weinstein Company. It’s a slick, fast-paced action thriller anchored by a strong emotional relationship that audiences are going to love.”
The original film follows a quiet pawnshop keeper with a violent past who takes on a drug- and organ-trafficking ring to save the child who is his only friend.
