Debra Messing has joined the cast of ABC’s three-hour remake of ’80s classic “Dirty Dancing”, reports Deadline.
The former “Will & Grace” star will play Baby’s mother, Majorie Houseman, in the small-screen redo. Abigail Breslin plays the role made famous by Jennifer Grey in the hit 1987 movie.
Wayne Blair will direct the new version, which is executive produced by Eleanor Bergstein – who wrote the original flick.
