Donald Glover joins Spider-Man reboot – but as who!?

Big-time Spider-Man fan Donald Glover (“Community”) has joined the cast of “Spider-Man : Homecoming”.

What makes this bit of casting so interesting is that Glover championed to be cast as the new Spider-Man a year or so back, hoping Sony might be convinced to go with the Miles Morales version of the web-slinger. Alas, he didn’t get his wish… but he has ended up in the Spider-world.

Glover joins a cast that includes Tom Holland as the title character, Michael Keaton as the villainous The Vulture, Marisa Tomei as Aunt May, Robert Downey Jr as Tony Stark, and Zendaya, Michael Barbieri, Kenneth Choi and Tony Revolori. Jon Watts (“Cop Car”) is directing.

No details on who Glover, whose other credits include “The Martian” and “Magic Mike XXL”, is playing – which begs the question : Might he be playing Miles Morales!?
