It’s been reported everywhere over the past few days that screen legend Doris Day has been lured out of retirement to work on Clint Eastwood’s next movie.
Unfortunately, it’s not true.
Deadline has heard from representatives of the 93-year-old actress who have refuted the reports of Day coming back for a new movie.
“While Doris always appreciates hearing from her fans, the rumors about her returning to the big screen are not true. She adores her longtime friend Clint Eastwood, but Doris’ recent and current focus remains on her Doris Day Animal Foundation, which continues to help animals and the people who love them.”
The report of Day working with Eastwood originally surfaced in a German publication.
