Duchovny fiddling with The TV Set

He’s been quiet for a while – he’s spent most of the past twelve months ‘behind’ a camera, directing "The House of D" – but David Duchovny’s about to put his monotoned vocal stylings to work again.

According to Production Weekly, The former "X-Files" star will team with Ben Stiller for "The TV Set", a new film from writer/director Jake Kasdan.

Duchovny will star as Dave, a chap with a pregant wife, a spendthrift mother and a lot of expenses. He should probably be celebrating – he just sold a TV pilot. But that path takes him tumble down a rabbit hole of dimwitted executives, talentless stars and micro-managing suits who seem determind to remove any hint of creativity out of Dave’s work.

Jane Adams and Will Arnett are also onboard, with filming set to start in LA on July 25th.
