Elizabeth Taylor dies, aged 79

Terrible news to report his morning folks, screen legend Elizabeth Taylor has passed away age 79.

The Oscar Winning actress had a long history of ill health and was being treated for congestive heart failure.

Taylor, of course, hit the big time in the late fifties, early sixties when she was nominated for four Oscars in a row. She won for “Butterfield 8”.

But there’s probably other movies that Taylor’s better known for, including “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” (which she won her second Oscar for), “National Velvet”, “Cleopatra” and “Father of the Bride”.

Off-screen Taylor was well-known for marrying some seven times; she also had a close relationship with the late Michael Jackson.

Younger fans will likely know Taylor as Pearl Slaghoople, Wilma’s mother and Fred’s (beloathed) mother-in-law in Brian Levant’s “The Flintstones”, or as the voice as Maggie Simpson in that episode of “The Simpsons” where the eternal tot spoke.

Whatever you know her best from, everyone knew Liz Taylor, everyone will miss her. Rest in peace Darling.
