Fans up in arms over Bridget Jones‘ latest diary entry

Fans of the “Bridget Jones” franchise have found themselves in a flurry of fury thanks to an excerpt of the author’s latest Jones novel, “Mad About The Boy”, according to THR.

The U.K.’s Sunday Times magazine released a sneak-peek of Helen Fielding’s latest “Bridget Jones” novel over the weekend, which revealed that the love of Bridget’s life, the fan-favourite Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) has passed away.

The third book in the Bridget Jones series will find Bridget 51, widowed with two young children; she also has a much-younger boyfriend named Roxster, is learning how to use social media and dilemmas over how to lose weight, meditate on a regular basis and stop hiding wine bottles.

With “Mad About The Boy” to hit bookstores on October 10, only time (and sales) will tell if there will be another Bridget Jones flick (which they tried to get up last year, but postponed due to script issues) hitting silver screens.
