CBS Television Studios is looking at a reboot of “Zorro”, which hails from Propagate and Alfredo Barrios Jr (“Magnum P.I”).
The twist, this time, will be that the mask will be donned by a female protagonist.
Currently set up with ABC, “Zorro” is described as a modern-day retelling of the Zorro mythology that follows Z, a female descendant of warrior bloodline, who will go to great lengths to protect the defenseless in her community.
Propagate, the production company run by Ben Silverman and Howard Owens, has also set up “Home” and “Queen of the South” with ABC and CBS, respectively.
