The first set pic from the Farrelly Bros’ “Three Stooges” has stumbled, slapped and crashed online.
OLV took a Kodak to the Atlanta set of the film, where “Will & Grace” alum Sean Hayes is doing his best Larry, ‘Mad TV’s Will Sasso is Curly and “24” star Chris Diamantopoulos is doing his Moe. The film, which will be split into three 27-minute segments (so that the movie plays like several episodes of the TV show rolled into one), also stars Larry David as Mother Mengele and Jane Lynch (“Glee”) as mother superior. Sofia Veraga will feature in the second story, playing some kind of vixen who seduces the trio into killing a man for money.
Bobby Farrelly told us a couple of months ago that “Stooges” will be unlike any of the films he and brother Peter have done previously – including “Hall Pass” and “There’s Something About Mary”. “Well, you know with “The Three Stooges”, we’ll be very… We’ll probably be a lot less typical Farelly brothers stuff. We’re going to be as true as we can to the spirit of “The Three Stooges”. And they weren’t raunchy and they weren’t like outrageous. They were extraordinarily funny but it was just that kind of slapstick, the almost vaudeville-type humor. We’re going to do what we can do to recapture that. And so, it will probably be like I said, less us more of them.”
