Fox has acquired the book “Cold Comfort” (aka ‘How to Catch a Russian Spy’), assigning “Amazing Spider-Man” director Marc Webb to direct the film adaptation.
Ellis Henican’s upcoming book follows a man who convinces the FBI to let him conduct a sting against a top Russian spy, says The Hollywood Reporter.
The film will be produced by Michael Sugar, Webb and Bard Dorros.
Webb made his mark with the rom-com “(500) Days of Summer” before moving into blockbuster territory with 2012’s “The Amazing Spider-Man”. His next pic, “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” rolls out globally from April.
