WB, Roy Lee bring Minecraft to the big screen

Roy Lee, producer of current hit “The Lego Movie”, as well as the serve of Asian-horror remakes (“The Grudge”) we were forced to endure over the last few years, will steer a feature film adaptation of the “Minecraft” video-game to the big screen, according to THR.

Creator, Swedish programmer Markus Persson tweeted the news earlier today that Lee and Warner Bros had teamed to bring the top-selling PC/IOS/X-Box offering to cinemas.

Jon Berg will oversee the project for the studio.
