STX Entertainment has pushed Matthew McConaughey’s Civil War epic “Free State of Jones” back from an original release date of May 13 to June 24.
From director Gary Ross, the film co-stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw and Keri Russell and follows Newt Knight, a poor Mississippi farmer who leads a group of rebels against the Confederate army.
