Reader ‘Courtney’ sent over some scans from the June issue of UK film mag “Total Film” which feature a couple of new (I believe?) stills from “On the Road”, the Kristen Stewart and Garrett Hedlund starrer based on the 1957 novel by Jack Kerouac.
They’ve started sneaking the pic to a few select parties apparently and the buzz on it is very, very good, with many claiming “Twilight” star Stewart’s performance will turn quite a few heads (she is quite a good actress; did you see “In the Land of Women”?) and silence even more cynics (who believe she’s ‘Bella’ and nothing more); Hedlund too – who was terrific, I thought anyway, in “Tron Legacy” – is apparently great. The film is out sometime this year.
Shortly after the death of his father, Sal Paradise (Sam Riley), a writer from New York, meets Dean Moriarty (Hedlund), a dangerous young hooligan. They become friends immediately and decide to take a road trip and they discover the world.
