Fright Night director helming Pride and Prejudice and Zombies

That fucked-up Jane Austen thing, “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” has a director. Another one. One who might stay on. Probably.

Craig Gillespie, best known as the helmer of Ryan Gosling-doll flick “Lars and the Real Girl” though soon to be expunging his indy cred with the very Hollywood remake of “Fright Night”, is poised to direct the long-gestating film adaptation of the coffin dodgers novel.

According to Deadline, who have the scoop, negotiations with Gillespie will begin soon. Though nobody’s set to star there was talk of Natalie Portman doing the flick a couple of years ago, be great if she’d rejoin the production – Lizzy Bennett with worms crawling out of her ears could earn her her second Oscar, I think.
