Ray Liotta (“Goodfellas”, “Hannibal”) is playing the bad guy in the new Chloe Moretz/Jeffrey Dean Morgan drama “The Rut”.
According to THR, the film is in the vein of “Whale Rider” and tells of “a young girl (Moretz) who, in order to win the approval of her father (Morgan), surrounds herself with danger and adventure as she journeys into the wilderness alone to hunt deer. Liotta will play a nemesis hunter to Moretz, a man who is obsessed with bow hunting and considers Morgan his rival.”

It’s a big year for Liotta, he is also starring in “Killing me Softly” with Brad Pitt, the thriller “The Iceman” with Michael Shannon, “The Place Beyond the Pines” with Ryan Gosling, and “Pawn” with Nikki Reed and Stephen Lang, to name but a few.
