Michael Gracey (“The Order of Seven”) has been roped into shooting Hugh Jackman.
Gracey will helm “The Greatest Show on Earth”, the Jackman-starrer about yankee business P.T Barnum, says THR. The biopic will be told in Jackman-friendly song and dance.
The flick tells of ”the legendary showman who created the three-ring circus, and loved to hoax a gullible public. A focal point of the movie is Barnum’s infatuation with opera singer Jenny Lind, called the Swedish Nightingale. So far, no actress has been cast for the role” (though Anne Hathaway had been rumoured)
Don’t expect “Earth” to move too quickly, Jackman’s got “Wolverine” and “Les Miserables” – in addition to some major “Real Steel” publicity stumping – to do first.
