1. Mark Wahlberg, Steve Levinson and Rob Weiss are developing a half-hour comedy about an attorney who moves to Venice Beach and starts championing legalizing marijuana.

3. Starz have canceled Kelsey Grammer’s “Boss”, but plans for a two-hour ‘wrap-up’ telemovie could be in the works.

4. Amidst sexual abuse allegations, ‘Sesame Street’ performer Kevin Clash – who does ‘Elmo’ – has opted to leave the show. A new performer will be brought in to voice Elmo.

5. A new animated adventure, “Epic”, featuring the voices of Josh Hutcherson and Amanda Seyfried, has released it’s first trailer.

6. John Hillcoat says it’s unlikely his “Lawless” star Shia LaBeouf will be working with him on the police thriller “Triple Nine” now. “I don’t think it’s going to be with Shia after all his schedule thing, but it’s a huge ensemble, so it’s all in relation to balancing people’s dates so that is still being worked out actually. I do want to work with Shia again on something if this one doesn’t work out. and I’ve been offered to do this contemporary urban kind of thriller, so we’ll see. Ensembles are really tricky because of the balance of availability and schedules and all that.”

7. Chris Hemsworth says he’s excited to get going on “Robopocalypse” with Steven Spielberg. “No one does sci-fi better than him. It was a no-brainer. And then I read the script and was even more excited if that’s possible.”

8. “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder confirms that a trailer for the movie will be screened with “The Hobbit”.

9. Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Village Roadshow Pictures’ much anticipated “The Great Gatsby” will hit Australian theatres on May 30, 2013, it was announced today by Joel Pearlman, Managing Director of Roadshow Films. “We’re delighted to welcome Baz home in style come May,” Pearlman stated, “By opening the film after the U.S it will provide an opportunity for the stars of the film to attend an Australian Premiere befitting a film like ‘Gatsby’”.

10. A clip, and new slide-show featuring images of Robert Kabler as Robert De Niro in “Not Another Celebrity Movie”, out next year, is online.
