Michael Mann is resurrecting Vincent Hanna, Neil McCauley, Chris Shihirles and Nate for another go-round of “Heat”.
The famed filmmaker has made a deal to launch Michael Mann Books – with a prequel to the 1996 movie one of the paper-projects on the cards, says Deadline.
The projects, which will be penned by a stable of writers (not Mann, assumingly), will also be developed for film and television – suggesting we might indeed see “Heat II” on the big screen sometime, too.
The book is said to fix on the formative years of the characters played by Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer and Jon Voight in the critically acclaimed flick.
