Lionsgate and CBS Films have slated “Hell or High Water” to release in August in the US.
The film will first open on August 12 in limited release before expanding on August 26.
Taylor Sheridan penned the 2012 Black List script about two brothers (Chris Pine and Ben Foster) — a divorced dad and an ex-con — who attempt a daring bank robbery spree in order to save their family farm in New Mexico. The brothers are pursued by a Texas ranger, played by Jeff Bridges.
The film, directed by David Mackenzie, will premiere in the Un Certain Regard section at the Cannes Film Festival later this month.
