Jack Ryan off to rescue oil tanker crews in The Finest Hours

Chris Pine and Craig Gillespie are in talks with Disney to star in and direct, respectively, “The Finest Hours”.
The project is based on the real-life events of 1952 when two oil tankers off the coast of New England crashed into each other. The pic will follow the rescue efforts by the Coast Guard to save the crews on board the tankers.
Paul Tamasy and Eric Johnson penned the script and Jim Whitaker is producing.
