Jacki Weaver joins remake of The Grudge

Australia’s Jacki Weaver, Betty Gilpin (“Glow”), William Sadler (“Roswell”), and Frankie Faison (“Banshee”) have joined the cast of Sony’s “The Grudge” remake, says Deadline.

The reimagining of the 2004 film had previously set Andrea Riseborough, Demian Bichir, John Cho and Lin Shaye.

The Nicholas Pesce-directed film, based on the 2002 Japanese film “Ju-on”, begins filming in May.
