Jake Szymanksi, who’s directed a bunch of videos for “Funny or Die”, may be directing the comedy “He’s Fuckin’ Perfect” for Fox 2000.
We first told you about this project back in November, when Emma Stone was rumored to star in the film, but according to Deadline, although Stone’s interest is now unlikely, studio insiders express optimism they will still land her.
The comedy focuses on a social media-savvy girl who is pessimistic about love and vets her friends’ dates to find flaws. When that process leads her to uncover the perfect guy, she decides to use her Internet research skills to turn herself into his perfect match. The film will be produced by Gary Sanchez’s McKay and Will Ferrell. The Gary Sanchez team helped her hone the script and gave her notes to help shape it.
Initially, writer Lauryn Kahn had sent it to Gary Sanchez Productions in the hope they could get Stone attached before going out to studios. Script got leaked, Fox 2000 got a copy & now Kahn is rollin’ in dough.
