Acclaimed cinematographer Roger Deakins (“Skyfall”, “Unbroken”, “A Beautiful Mind”) will lens “Blade Runner 2”, Variety confirms.
This will be the third collaboration between Deakins and Denis Villeneuve, director of the Harrison Ford-starring sequel, after “Prisoners” and “Sicario”.
Filming on the science-fictioner, which original director Ridley Scott is producing, is expected to begin this Summer. Ford will reprise his role as Rick Deckard, while Ryan Gosling has been rumoured to be joining him.
