James Franco will star in the Hulu Original series “11/22/63”.
Adapted from Stephen King’s bestselling novel, the story follows high school English teacher Jake Epping (Franco) as he travels back in time to prevent the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. But his mission is threatened by Lee Harvey Oswald and his falling in love and the past itself, which doesn’t want to be changed.
The thriller, described as “part thriller, part love story”, is set to be presented as a nine-hour event series.
Franco will also produce with exec producers King, J.J. Abrams and writer Bridget Carpenter.
