The seemingly not-very-picky Jamie Foxx – filming, as we speak, the “Amazing Spider-Man” sequel – is in talks to Benjamin Stacks, a variation of the Daddy Warbucks personage, in Sony’s remake of “Annie”.
Albert Finney played the role in the 1982 version.
The film, produced by Will Smith and crew, will star Oscar Nominee Quvenzhane Wallis (“Beasts of the Southern Wild”) in the lead role.
Will Gluck, of “Easy A” fame, is directing (and recently did a polish on the script).
