Jeff Daniels, Aaron Sorkin reunite for Jobs biopic

Jeff Daniels will reteam with “Newsroom” headhoncho Aaron Sorkin on “Steve Jobs”, Universal’s new biopic of the Apple Founder.

Daniels will play former Apple CEO John Sculley in the film, directed by Danny Boyle. Sorkin wrote the script.

Universal announced today that production had begun on the movie, with Daniels joining such names as Michael Fassbender (Jobs), Seth Rogen (Steve Wozniak), Kate Winslet (Joanna Hoffman), Katherine Waterston (Chrisann Brennan), Michael Stuhlbarg (Andy Hertzfeld), and Perla Haney-Jardine (Future Weather). Australian actress Sarah Snook (“Predestination”) is also aboard.

The movie, based on Walter Isaacson’s book, is currently shooting in San Francisco.
