According to a report on News Askew, "Green Hornet" director Kevin Smith has confirmed that Jet Li is indeed being sought for the role of Kato.
Jet Li has been the studio favourite to play Kato in a "Green Hornet" film since 1991.
There’s hints though that Smith might also be eyeing ‘actress’ [yep, Kato would be a woman in this instance] Zhang Ziyi ["Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon"] for the role. For the moment, he’s hushed until something’s official.
