At their Comic-Con panel on the weekend, Legendary announced a new ‘King Kong’ feature called “Skull Island” – which they hop to put into theaters in 2016.
Though nobody’s a lock to direct it, Deadline reported today that Joe Cornish (“Attack the Block”) is the studio’s top pick to helm.
Cornish is in in-demand man these days; in recent times it’s been said he’s been offered everything from the next “Star Trek” picture to “Section Six”.
