Johnny Drama lands 301 lead

A spoof on “300” starring Kevin Dillon

Seems there will be two spoofs of “300” – I suppose it is ripe for having the piss taken out of it, though some may argue the film was a comedy in itself – out there with the previously announced “Hunting and Fishing” starring Kevin Sorbo and Jim Piddock, and now “National Lampoon’s 301: The Legend of Awesomest Maximus Wallace Leonidas”, says Variety.

And you’ll never guess whose playing the scantily-clad musclebound hero? None other than Johnny Drama himself, “Entourage” star Kevin Dillon. Dillon’s character on the show, some may recall, made a name for himself on a “Hercules”-like TV series called “Viking Quest”, so it’ll be worth an extra chuckle – or maybe just the one, this is ‘National Lampoon’ after all – to see him in the attire alone.

“Kevin is perfect for this role,” said Lampoon’s Justin Kanew.

The flick spoofs the sword-and-sandal epics “300,” “Troy,” “Gladiator” and “Braveheart,” and Dillon plays the bumbling Spartan general who fails upward in his quest for greatness.
