Johnny Knoxville is in Season

Rising young superstar Johnny Knoxville – about to put tucker on the table with "The Dukes of Hazzard" – is being eyeballed for a baseball comedy called "Stolen Season".

Based on a pitch by Jon Shestack and Evan Astrowsky, the movie tells the real-life yarn of former Baltimore Orioles catcher Rick Dempsey, who was sucked into the game by charismatic coach John Jennings when he was 13 and started playing on a Southern California Pony League baseball team in 1963. At the end of that Summer, coach Jennings has reportedly robbed about twenty banks and using the team’s travel as cover.

Knoxville would play the role of the crooked coach, says Variety.
