Actor Jon Heder is set to star in the upcoming indie comedy feature film ”Ghost Team”. The heartfelt comedy-thriller follows a ragtag team of amateur ghost hunters who get more than they bargained for when they embark on their own paranormal investigation.
Heder will lead the ensemble cast which also includes David Krumholtz (”Numbers”, ”Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle”), Melonie Diaz (”Be Kind Rewind”, ”Fruitvale Station”), Paul W. Downs (”Broad City”), Justin Long (”DodgeBall”, ”He’s Just Not That Into You”), Tom Schiller (”Saturday Night Live”, ”Nothing Lasts Forever”) and Amy Sedaris (”Strangers With Candy”, ”BoJack Horseman”, ”Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt”). For the weekend explorer in all of us, Ghost Team examines the things people believe in to escape the monotony of everyday life and get through the day.
Directed by Oliver Irving, it will be filmed in New York, on Long Island and in Brooklyn. Produced by Tandem Pictures, Ghost Team is from a screenplay by Peter Warren, based on a story by Irving and Warren. Composer Joe Hastings, with whom Irving collaborated on his debut feature How To Be, is also attached to the project.
Producers include Julie Christeas and Schuyler Weiss of Tandem Pictures, Alex Sagalchik of Mott Street Pictures and director Oliver Irving. Executive producer Kevin Iwashina of Preferred Content will represent the distribution rights.
”Ghost Team” will also mark the first feature film to use the new Steadicam® TANGO™, created by legendary American cinematographer Garrett Brown, inventor of the Steadicam. The film will make use of Sony’s PXW-FS7 4K XD camera. Principal photography began this week.
