The no-doubt wonderfully wealthy twosome of Jane Turner and Gina Riley have struck a deal with the ABC to do a "Kath and Kim" telemovie.
According to The Herald Sun, the comediennes have opted to do a feature length flick for the tube instead of a fourth series of their popular prime-time sitcom.
It is understood production will start within the next eight weeks.
The movie will screen on the ABC — news that will come as a blow to the commercial networks who were offering big money to snare the dynamic duo.
"Kath & Kim" has been the most successful Australian TV comedy series ever, screening regularly to an audience approaching two million.
It was also sold to Britain and the US.
